R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Fifty-nine years of marriage is truly cause for 
celebration, and on May 4, 2003, Pete and Chita Leal of Edinburg 
marked this joyous event in their lives; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Leal began their journey together as 
husband and wife when they pledged their mutual love, respect, and 
trust to each other on May 4, 1944; over the course of their 
enduring relationship, the couple have remained a source of 
inspiration to their close-knit circle of loved ones; and
	WHEREAS, Treasured by their family and friends, Mr. and Mrs. 
Leal have shared the trials and triumphs of 59 years, and their 
commitment to each other continues to gladden the hearts of all who 
know them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Pete and Chita Leal on the happy 
occasion of their 59th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Leal as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
