R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hull of Lanier Middle School has been
named Teacher of the Year by the Houston Independent School
District; and
WHEREAS, An eighth-grade math teacher, Ms. Hull came to
Lanier Middle School two years ago, fresh from a successful, but
less than fulfilling, career in the banking industry, and ready to
make a difference in the lives of others; she now enjoys helping
young people to better understand mathematics, and she considers
herself "the wealthiest woman in the world" for having found her
true calling; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hull inspires her students to excel, teaching
them that they can determine their own future success, and because
of her exceptional instruction, her pupils are well prepared for
the math challenges that lie ahead of them at the high school level;
and
WHEREAS, This talented educator exemplifies the best of those
engaged in her notable profession, and it is truly a privilege to
recognize this outstanding educator at this time; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Elizabeth Hull on her receipt of
the Teacher of the Year award and extend to her warmest best wishes
for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Hull as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
