R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Oz Glaze Senior Citizens Center in Horizon
provides a range of exceptional services to area seniors, and its
administrators and staff are truly deserving of special
recognition; and
WHEREAS, Under the leadership of volunteer director William
Rutherford, president Betty Austin, and vice president Max
Rahnefeld, the center offers an array of activities to its members,
including ceramics classes, sewing circles, board games, and
potluck dinners; and
WHEREAS, Support for the center is also provided by its board
of trustees: Audrey Glaze, Anita Stovall, Irma Cervantes, Jim
Brecheen, and Henrietta Brown; these dedicated individuals help to
ensure that the center meets the needs of its members; and
WHEREAS, Social interaction is an important part of our
lives, and the Oz Glaze Senior Citizens Center offers much-needed
opportunities for fellowship and camaraderie to Horizon's senior
citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby recognize Oz Glaze Senior Citizens Center and
commend the many individuals who contribute to the success of this
outstanding center.
