R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On May 22, 2003, Lucinda Rodriguez and her brother 
Ruben Rodriguez graduated from the Baylor College of Dentistry, and 
they plan to return to their hometown of Donna and join the private 
practice of their two brothers, Dr. Ricardo Rodriguez and Dr. 
Gerardo Rodriguez, Jr., who also graduated from the Baylor College 
of Dentistry, in 1992 and 1994, respectively; and
	WHEREAS, Dr. Lucinda Rodriguez and Dr. Ruben Rodriguez gained 
an interest in dentistry and a deep appreciation for the need for 
more dentists while traveling with mission groups to Mexico to help 
the poor, and each has participated in Baylor University's Summer 
Pre-Dental Enrichment Program, which targets students in 
underserved areas; and
	WHEREAS, The younger Rodriguez dentists intend to continue 
making annual mission trips in addition to helping their brothers 
operate their successful private practice, which includes offices 
in McAllen and Elsa; and
	WHEREAS, The seven children in the Rodriguez family all have 
been encouraged by their parents to complete their college 
educations, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerardo Rodriguez, Sr., can certainly 
take great pride in the achievements of their fine family; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Lucinda Rodriguez and Dr. Ruben 
Rodriguez on their recent graduation from the Baylor College of 
Dentistry and recognize the Rodriguez family for its admirable 
efforts to provide good dental care, not only in their South Texas 
home of Donna, but also to people in need in Mexico; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Rodriguez family as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
