R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
honor Shunn D. Rector of Houston for earning her college degree and
for serving so capably in the office of State Representative Ruth
Jones McClendon; and
WHEREAS, A December 2002 graduate of Texas Southern
University, Ms. Rector received a bachelor's degree in
administration of justice; and
WHEREAS, During the 78th Texas Legislative Session, this
impressive young woman has demonstrated dedication and a strong
work ethic in her role as a legislative intern; in addition to
traveling to District 120 functions with Representative McClendon,
she has attended meetings in Representative McClendon's stead and
acted as a constituent liaison to state agencies; and
WHEREAS, Shunn Rector has demonstrated exemplary commitment
to education in achieving her college degree and to her state in
serving as a legislative intern; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Shunn D. Rector on her college
graduation and her service throughout the 78th Texas Legislative
Session and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Rector as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
