H.R. No. 1769



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Dr. Gail Hartin has faithfully served as principal 
of University Park Elementary School for 13 years; and
	WHEREAS, Before assuming her duties at University Park 
Elementary, Dr. Hartin spent nine years as a teacher and assistant 
principal at McCulloch Middle School; and
	WHEREAS, Dr. Hartin has capably managed a staff that each 
year attends to the educational and emotional needs of hundreds of 
students; having touched thousands of young lives during her tenure 
as principal, she is known to students and families of University 
Park Elementary as "the mother of our school"; and
	WHEREAS, Demonstrating flexibility, encouraging teamwork, 
and establishing important priorities, Dr. Hartin has helped to 
create an effective and collegial working environment, and those 
who were privileged to serve alongside and learn from Dr. Hartin 
will miss her determined leadership, wisdom, and generous spirit; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby pay tribute to Dr. Gail Hartin for her honorable 
and accomplished service and extend to her sincere best wishes for 
happiness and success in the years ahead; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Dr. Hartin as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
