No. 1781R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Judith Meza of Austin graduated from the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) on May 29, 2003, and this joyous occasion represents a significant milestone for this outstanding young Texan; and WHEREAS, While high school graduation is a memorable event in the life of every student, the ceremony holds special significance for Ms. Meza, for she has been a beloved student at the school since the age of 10; and WHEREAS, During her tenure at TSD, Ms. Meza has been an enthusiastic participant in a number of Special Olympics activities including basketball, bowling, and track and field; a valued member of the staff at the Capitol Grill while pursuing her studies, she plans to remain in Austin to work with her mother and sister following her graduation; and WHEREAS, In the pursuit of her goals, Ms. Meza has demonstrated initiative and dedication, and she may look forward with anticipation to the myriad challenges and opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Judith Meza on the momentous occasion of her graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to her best wishes for continued success and happiness in all her future endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Meza as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
