H.R. No. 1787



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Vanessa Renee Chapa has provided outstanding 
assistance as an intern in the Capitol office of State 
Representative Jim Solis during the 78th Legislative Session; and
	WHEREAS, Born in McAllen, Ms. Chapa graduated from McAllen 
High School and expects to graduate from Southwestern University in 
Georgetown in May 2005; she is pursuing her undergraduate degree in 
Spanish, political science, and communications, as well as her 
secondary education certification; and
	WHEREAS, A participant in the university's student 
internship program, Ms. Chapa enhanced her knowledge of the 
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star 
State while also gaining valuable work experience in a political 
environment; and
	WHEREAS, Vanessa Renee Chapa has demonstrated exceptional 
commitment during her tenure as an intern, and she is indeed 
deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Vanessa Renee Chapa for her service as 
an intern in the office of State Representative Jim Solis and extend 
to her warmest best wishes for success and happiness in all her 
future endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Chapa as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
