R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to 
recognize Gloria Calvo Hernandez for her exemplary work in the 
office of State Representative Jim Solis; and
	WHEREAS, In the capacity of legislative secretary, a position 
in which she has excelled since joining the staff in January 1998, 
Mrs. Hernandez efficiently and effectively handles an array of 
constituent responsibilities; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of La Feria High School, she attended The 
University of Texas--Pan American and received an associate of 
applied science degree from Texas State Technical College; and
	WHEREAS, She enjoys the love and support of her family, 
including her devoted husband, Paul Hernandez, as well as a 
close-knit circle of friends; and
	WHEREAS, Gloria Hernandez consistently exemplifies the 
qualities of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to her 
work, and she is an inspiring role model for all those who know her; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Gloria Calvo Hernandez for her 
outstanding service as a legislative secretary during the 78th 
Texas Legislative Session and extend to her warmest best wishes for 
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mrs. Hernandez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
