H.R. No. 1867
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, On May 31, 2003, Charissa Romero graduated from
Longview High School with a perfect attendance record from
kindergarten through 12th grade, and this remarkable
accomplishment is a testament to the high priority she has put on
her education; and
WHEREAS, Such unwavering commitment will continue to serve
Ms. Romero well in her future endeavors, and her mother, Ruthie
Romero, a first-grade teacher, is to be congratulated for
instilling in her daughter both a strong work ethic and tremendous
respect for the power of learning; and
WHEREAS, After graduation, this ambitious young woman plans
to attend Kilgore College, where she will study fashion design, and
later enroll at the Art Institute of Dallas; and
WHEREAS, Education is the cornerstone of success in our
fast-paced world, and by taking full advantage of the resources
available to her, Ms. Romero is undoubtedly better prepared for the
challenges and opportunities of adult life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Charissa Romero on her recent high
school graduation and commend her on maintaining perfect attendance
throughout her educational career; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Romero as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
