H.R. No. 1880



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Police Officer Kevin Clark, who has faithfully 
served the University Park Police Department since December 2001, 
has been named Officer of the Year by his fellow officers; and
	WHEREAS, The award specifically recognizes Officer Clark's 
actions on the night of May 10, 2002, when he chased down a DWI 
suspect on foot and, although seriously injured in the incident, 
continued his pursuit until the suspect was finally apprehended; 
and
	WHEREAS, Commended by his coworkers and Chief Gary Adams for 
his hard work and admirable leadership, as well as his strong sense 
of commitment to duty and positive attitude, Officer Clark is truly 
worthy of such a prestigious award; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Officer Kevin Clark on being named 
Officer of the Year of the University Park Police Department and 
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Officer Clark as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
