R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Andrea La Shawn Medley served as a legislative 
intern in the office of Representative Yvonne Davis during the 
regular session of the 78th Texas Legislature; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of Cameron University in Oklahoma and the 
Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, Ms. 
Medley plans to attend the University of Chicago to earn her 
master's degree in law; she has consistently demonstrated the 
ability to respond quickly and effectively to the challenges that 
arise daily in a demanding office environment and has provided 
considerable counsel regarding tax issues; and
	WHEREAS, During her superb tenure, she has distinguished 
herself as a valued and trusted legislative staff member, and her 
many significant contributions to the office have helped to ensure 
its smooth functioning throughout the course of the session; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas                  

Legislature hereby commend Andrea La Shawn Medley for her exemplary 
service as a legislative intern and extend to her warmest best 
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Medley as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
