R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kenneth Sorrells has completed his tenure as county
commissioner of Precinct 2 in Edwards County, and it is a pleasure
to honor him for his distinguished public service; and
WHEREAS, A native of Brady, Texas, this esteemed gentleman
attended Mason High School, served in the United States Army in 1956
and 1957, and went on to become a successful businessman who has
owned and operated numerous small businesses over the course of his
career; he is also an active member of his community, giving
generously of his time and talents to the local chamber of commerce
and various other noteworthy organizations; and
WHEREAS, In all that he does, Mr. Sorrells enjoys the love and
support of his close-knit family, which has grown to include his
wife, Maxine, three children, Kenneth Sorrells, Jr., Kay Morgan,
and Steve Sorrells, and seven cherished grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Kenneth Sorrells has
demonstrated his tremendous commitment to serving the people of
Edwards County, and his contributions to the community have
positively affected the quality of life enjoyed by countless area
residents; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Kenneth Sorrells on his outstanding
service as county commissioner for Edwards County and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Sorrells as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
