R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, State Representative Jack Stick has been named one 
of Austin's most eligible bachelors by Austin Monthly magazine, and 
this provides a fitting opportunity to recognize the many 
achievements of this outstanding Texan; and
	WHEREAS, New to the Texas House of Representatives in the 
78th Legislative Session, Representative Stick was the only 
freshman to be appointed to the Appropriations Committee; and
	WHEREAS, This notable gentleman garnered eight years of legal 
experience as a successful prosecutor for the Travis County 
district attorney, the U.S. attorney for the Western District of 
Texas, and a lawyer in private practice before setting his sights on 
the State Capitol; and
	WHEREAS, Known for his quick wit and sincere, gentlemanly 
manner, Representative Stick is a man of innumerable talents, and 
it is indeed a pleasure to honor him at this time; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate State Representative Jack Stick on 
being named one of Austin's most eligible bachelors and extend to 
him sincere best wishes for continued happiness and success; and, 
be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Representative Stick as an expression of high regard 
from the Texas House of Representatives.
