H.R. No. 1912



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Brooks County Independent School District 
indeed merits special legislative recognition for its 
long-standing commitment to excellence in education; and
	WHEREAS, A Texas Education Agency "recognized" district, the 
Brooks County ISD includes four separate campuses, Lasater 
Elementary School, Falfurrias Elementary School, Falfurrias Junior 
School, and Falfurrias High School, which provide for the education 
of approximately 1,700 students; and
	WHEREAS, This outstanding school district has made 
invaluable contributions to the citizens of Brooks County, and its 
record of success can be attributed in large part to the substantial 
support of the community it serves; and
	WHEREAS, Area residents continue to reap the benefits of the 
fine education offered by the Brooks County ISD, and it is truly a 
privilege to pay tribute to this noteworthy district and its many 
devoted educators, administrators, students, and staff; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend all those associated with the Brooks 
County Independent School District for their dedication to the 
provision of an outstanding education; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Brooks County ISD as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
