R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Point Isabel Independent School District indeed merits special legislative recognition for its long-standing commitment to excellence in education; and WHEREAS, A Texas Education Agency "recognized" district, the Point Isabel ISD includes four campuses and serves students from five communities: Port Isabel, South Padre Island, Laguna Vista, Laguna Heights, and Boca Chica; and WHEREAS, The Point Isabel ISD has made invaluable contributions to Cameron County, and its record of success can be attributed in large part to the substantial support of the community it serves; and WHEREAS, The residents of Cameron County continue to reap the benefits of the fine education offered by the Point Isabel ISD, and it is truly a privilege to pay tribute to this noteworthy district and its many devoted educators, administrators, students, and staff; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby commend all those associated with the Point Isabel Independent School District for their dedication to the provision of an outstanding education; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the Point Isabel ISD as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
