R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Jim Hogg County Independent School District 
indeed merits special legislative recognition for its 
long-standing commitment to excellence in education; and
	WHEREAS, Currently under the direction of superintendent 
Pedro P. Lopez, Jr., the district includes three separate campuses 
and provides for the education of approximately 1,200 students; and
	WHEREAS, Since its creation, the Jim Hogg County ISD has made 
invaluable contributions to Jim Hogg County, and its record of 
success can be attributed in large part to the substantial support 
of the community it serves; and
	WHEREAS, The residents of Jim Hogg County continue to reap 
the benefits of the fine education offered by the Jim Hogg County 
ISD, and it is truly a privilege to pay tribute to this noteworthy 
district and its many devoted educators, administrators, students, 
and staff; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend all those associated with the Jim Hogg 
County Independent School District for their dedication to the 
provision of an outstanding education; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Jim Hogg County ISD as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
