R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Andy Ramirez won election to the Ysleta Independent 
School District Board of Trustees on May 3, 2003, and it is a 
pleasure to honor him for his exemplary dedication to enhancing the 
education of Texas schoolchildren; and
	WHEREAS, In his capacity as a school board member, 
Mr. Ramirez unites his efforts with those of parents and classroom 
teachers and other education professionals to provide the best 
possible learning environment for area students; and
	WHEREAS, A member of the Riverside community for over 40 
years, Mr. Ramirez is a construction superintendent with Asphalt 
Pavers and participates with his wife, Lety, in a variety of school 
organizations, including the boosters for Lady Rangers softball and 
the Riverside High School band; and
	WHEREAS, Through his outstanding public service, Mr. Ramirez 
seeks to broaden the path of educational opportunity for students 
in his district, and he is indeed worthy of special legislative 
recognition for his efforts; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Andy Ramirez on his election to the 
board of trustees of the Ysleta Independent School District and 
extend to him best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Ramirez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
