H.R. No. 1984
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Patti Radle was recently elected to the San Antonio
City Council to represent the constituents of District 5, and her
many outstanding contributions to the Bexar County community are
indeed deserving of special commendation; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin where she earned her bachelor's degree in theology,
Councilwoman Radle is a certified teacher and bilingual educator
who has devoted her life toward the service of others; she is
well-known for her work with such important organizations as Inner
City Development, Habitat for Humanity, San Antonio Cultural Arts,
and the People's Teamwork Organization, and she is an active member
of the community of faith at Guadalupe Church, where she has served
as choir director, CCD teacher, Eucharistic minister, and member of
the Social Justice Committee; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding Texan has effected positive change
in the lives of those around her through her work as an advocate; in
winning election to the San Antonio City Council, Councilwoman
Radle has joined the proud tradition of citizen leadership that has
been our nation's hallmark for more than two centuries, and she can
take justifiable pride in the role she is playing in this noble
legacy; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Patti Radle on her election to the
District 5 seat on the San Antonio City Council and extend to her
best wishes for continued success and happiness in her future
endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Councilwoman Radle as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
