R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Art A. Hall was recently elected to the San Antonio City Council to represent the constituents of District 8, and his many outstanding contributions to the Bexar County community are indeed deserving of special commendation; and WHEREAS, A graduate of Harvard University, Councilman Hall earned a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree at Texas Tech University as well as a master of laws degree at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth; over the course of his remarkable career, he has achieved great success as an attorney, investment banker, and law professor, and his work as a community leader has benefited such important organizations as the YMCA, the Alamo City Chamber of Commerce, the Carver Community Cultural Center, and the Castle Hills Forest Neighborhood Association; and WHEREAS, In taking on the challenges of municipal public service, Councilman Hall has joined the proud tradition of citizen leadership that has been our nation's hallmark for more than two centuries, and he can take justifiable pride in the role he is playing in this noble legacy; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Art A. Hall on his election to the District 8 seat on the San Antonio City Council and extend to him best wishes for continued success and happiness in his future endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Councilman Hall as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
