H.R. No. 2015
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Gerardo Castillo is an outstanding member of the
staff of State Representative Eddie Rodriguez, and he is indeed
deserving of special recognition for his efforts during the 78th
Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Castillo has distinguished himself in his
inaugural year of service as a legislative aide by finishing off
numerous office leftovers, thereby providing great relief to
parents throughout the world concerned about the starving masses in
China and beyond; and
WHEREAS, This dedicated individual has enlightened senior
staffers who were previously devoid of any and all "street cred,"
thus contributing to the overall "bling bling" of the legislative
office; in addition, he has graciously adopted the nickname "G" as a
courtesy to his linguistically challenged Anglo colleagues; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Castillo has demonstrated wisdom and discipline
by discontinuing his use of Accutane, an action that has assuaged
the fears of his fellow staffers who were concerned about the
growing regularity of his fits of rage; he does, however, still
maintain his ability to gain the undivided attention of his
coworkers by simply manifesting a distended vein in his neck and
forehead while inviting perceived adversaries to "step in my box";
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Gerardo Castillo for his exemplary
performance during the 78th Legislative Session and extend to him
best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Castillo as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
