H.R. No. 2030


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Brittany Horak has demonstrated remarkable devotion, perseverance, and maturity, and she is indeed worthy of special recognition; and WHEREAS, A student at Berta Cabaza Middle School, Miss Horak has generously volunteered her time to make 50 blankets for newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit at Valley Baptist Medical Center; Miss Horak stitched together squares of flannel and cotton in varying shades of pink and blue to produce these lovely and heartfelt gifts; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young lady is a member of Girl Scout Troop 217, and her mother, Darlene Horak, leads the troop; Miss Horak hopes to one day become a kindergarten teacher; and WHEREAS, Brittany Horak has demonstrated a commendable level of compassion and accomplishment, and she has set an inspiring example for her friends, fellow students, and community members; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby commend Brittany Horak for her generous service and extend to her warmest best wishes for success in all her future endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Miss Horak as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
