A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the dissolution of the Huffsmith Road Public Utility District. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. DISSOLUTION. (a) The Huffsmith Road Public Utility District is dissolved. (b) Chapter 676, Acts of the 62nd Legislature, Regular Session, 1971, is repealed. SECTION 2. FINDINGS RELATED TO DISSOLUTION. The legislature finds that the Huffsmith Road Public Utility District: (1) has no outstanding assets, obligations, or indebtedness; (2) has been and remains inactive; and (3) serves no public purpose. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
