A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to application of law regulating sweepstakes to certain 
associations of airmen.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Subsection (e), Section 43.003, Business &
Commerce Code, as added by Chapter 1119, Acts of the 77th 
Legislature, Regular Session, 2001, is amended to read as follows:
	(e)  This chapter does not apply to any company that is an air 
carrier subject to Title 49 of the United States Code or to a 
nonprofit association of airmen who are subject to that title.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as 
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this 
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 
Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
