SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 19

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize the Honorable J. Ray Gayle III on the occasion of his 
retirement as judge for the 239th District Court; and

	WHEREAS, This highly esteemed jurist has spent 29 years on 
the bench and has served as judge of the 239th District Court for 
the past 23 years; and

	WHEREAS, Judge Gayle has brought the highest judicial 
standards to his responsibilities, and he is respected and 
admired by his colleagues, the legal community, and the public 
for his intellect, his sense of justice, his judicial style, and 
his exceptional legal knowledge and ability as a trial judge; and

	WHEREAS, Judge Gayle has rendered outstanding service to 
his community, and his wisdom and wise counsel will be missed by 
his many colleagues; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby commend District Judge J. Ray Gayle III 
for his many years of exemplary service on the bench; and, be it 
further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
