SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 27
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Sudderth Elementary School in Monahans on its selection for the Texas Pathfinder Collaborative; and WHEREAS, A Statewide Initiative program of the Region XIII Education Service Center, the Texas Pathfinder Collaborative identifies model educational programs and creates a network for sharing these exemplary programs with schools across the state; Sudderth Elementary School is one of just over 100 successful programs selected for participation in this innovative effort; and WHEREAS, The Texas Pathfinder Collaborative places special emphasis on providing assistance to low-performing schools; Sudderth Elementary School will thus have the opportunity to share the best teaching practices available with educators working in challenging environments; and WHEREAS, Sudderth Elementary School will be welcomed as a partner of the Texas Pathfinder Collaborative at the initial organizational meeting on January 21, 2003, in Austin; the school will also be presented with a plaque in recognition of its noteworthy educational program; and WHEREAS, Sudderth Elementary School is a shining example of the use of superior teaching methods, and its selection for the Texas Pathfinder Collaborative is indeed laudable; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, hereby commend Sudderth Elementary School for this outstanding achievement and express wholehearted support for its successful participation in the Texas Pathfinder Collaborative; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the school as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
