SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 73
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to recognize Andrea Moore of Missouri City for earning the
Girl Scout Gold Award; and
WHEREAS, The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest
achievement in girl scouting; it symbolizes outstanding
accomplishments in the areas of leadership, community service,
career planning, and personal development; and
WHEREAS, Andrea displayed her outstanding leadership
through the planning and execution of a service project which
benefited her community; she taught a theatre arts class for
underprivileged children in a low-income neighborhood; as part
of the project, she took the students to see a play; and
WHEREAS, By receiving the Gold Award, Andrea brings great
honor to herself, her family, her council, her community, and her
state, and she deserves recognition for her accomplishment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby commend Andrea Moore on receiving this
prestigious award and congratulate her on her outstanding
achievement; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
for Girl Scout Andrea Moore as an expression of esteem from the
Texas Senate.
