SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 207
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Snow family for their generosity to the children
of Greater El Paso; and
WHEREAS, A civic-minded family, the Snows donated 10 acres
to the Young Men's Christian Association of Greater El Paso for
the construction of the William Clarke Snow Sports Complex; the
complex will benefit 7,000 children on the city's Upper West
Side; and
WHEREAS, The sports complex will provide a gymnasium, day
camp facilities, and outdoor playgrounds to children residing in
the community of Sunland Park and the Gadsden Independent School
District; a walking track is expected to be added later; and
WHEREAS, The Snow family's gift will keep youngsters living
on the Upper West Side occupied with healthy and beneficial
activities; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Snow family have demonstrated
their generous spirit towards their fellow citizens through this
munificent gift to the community's children; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby join the citizens of El Paso in
expressing appreciation to the Snow family for this magnanimous
gift; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be presented to
the members of this outstanding family as an expression of esteem
from the Texas Senate.
