SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 270

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Krahn Elementary School on the occasion of its 20th 
anniversary which is being celebrated March 20, 2003; and

	WHEREAS, Krahn Elementary School is a part of the Klein 
Independent School District in Spring, Texas, and today is under 
the able guidance of its principal, Mrs. Lauren Smith; and

	WHEREAS, Over the years, many students have walked the 
halls of Krahn Elementary School and sat in the classrooms 
preparing for higher education and future professions; and

	WHEREAS, Supported by the Parent Teachers Organization, 
educators at Krahn Elementary School provide a challenging 
instructional program and a safe and nurturing learning 
environment to enable students to excel in academics and become 
healthy, responsible citizens; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby congratulate the students, faculty, and 
staff of Krahn Elementary School on the school's 20th anniversary 
and extend best wishes to them for a happy anniversary 
celebration; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
Krahn Elementary School as a memento of this special day and as an 
expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
