SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 299

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church on the grand 
occasion of its 20th anniversary, which will be celebrated on 
March 9, 2003; and

	WHEREAS, Over the years, Trietsch Memorial United 
Methodist Church has ministered faithfully to the spiritual 
needs of innumerable Christians; and

	WHEREAS, Due to the guidance and wise stewardship of its 
pastors, the church has continued to grow and to become a source 
of strength for church members during their hardships and in 
times of bereavement; and

	WHEREAS, The church nurtures people of all ages and 
maintains a Christian environment in which all are treated with 
respect and dignity and are given help in reaching their personal 
and spiritual goals; and

	WHEREAS, The celebration of its 20th anniversary is an 
expression of the church's enduring commitment to its holy mission 
and its dedication to tradition and unity among Christians; now, 
therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to the clergy 
and members of Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church on 
this jubilant occasion; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church as an expression of 
esteem from the Texas Senate.
