SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 320

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Michael J. Wilson, who is receiving the 2003 General 
Aviation Airport Manager of the Year Award; and
	WHEREAS, This award is given to an airport manager whose 
exceptional dedication and achievements have contributed to the 
safety and improvement of the airport; and
	WHEREAS, Mike Wilson has been the manager of the Brownwood 
Regional Airport since 2000; he previously served as the 
assistant airport manager and airport service person; and
	WHEREAS, Well informed on capital improvement programs and 
Federal Aviation Administration rules and regulations, Mike is 
overseeing the second major runway lighting improvement project 
to take place at the airport since his employment; and
	WHEREAS, He is dedicated to maintaining the highest 
ethical standards for himself and his employees and maintains 
safety as his number one priority; and
	WHEREAS, Mike is also an ordained minister and is highly 
respected throughout the community; he is married and is the 
father of one son; and
	WHEREAS, A consummate and exemplary professional who
has displayed superior judgment in dealing with the unique 
challenges he has faced during his career, Mike is a great asset 
to the Brownwood Regional Airport, to the aviation industry, and 
to his community; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby commend Michael J. Wilson for earning 
the 2003 General Aviation Airport Manager of the Year Award and 
extend best wishes to him for continued success; and, be it  
further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
