SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 347

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
in welcoming Lillian Katherine Clayton to the distinguished 
citizenry of the Lone Star State; and

	WHEREAS, Lillian was born on March 26, 2000, at 1:47 p.m. 
at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth to proud parents, 
Arthur and Elizabeth Clower Clayton; and

	WHEREAS, She weighed nine pounds and four ounces and was
20 inches long; her safe arrival was the fulfillment of her 
parents' dearest wish; and

	WHEREAS, Arthur and Elizabeth are filled with pride and joy 
over the birth of this long-awaited infant, who has found a 
permanent place in their hearts; and

	WHEREAS, It is indeed appropriate that the Texas Senate 
welcome this precious little girl as a cherished citizen of the 
State of Texas; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Arthur and 
Elizabeth Clayton on the birth of their precious child and honor 
Lillian Katherine Clayton as a treasured young citizen of the 
State of Texas; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
Lillian and her family as an expression of best wishes from the 
Texas Senate.
