SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 352
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Joe B. and Margaret Taylor of Longview on the special 
occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, Joe B. Taylor and Margaret Hamilton Taylor made a 
lifetime commitment to each other when they were married by the 
Church of England in Epson, England, on March 28, 1953, and their 
mutual trust has been amply rewarded; and
	WHEREAS, Joe was born in Willow Springs, Texas, and 
Margaret Hamilton was born in Paisley, Scotland; they met in 
Kingston on Thames, when Joe was stationed in England while 
serving in the United States Air Force; and
	WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the 
years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have cherished 
traditional family and moral values; they were both active in 
the Clayroad Baptist Church in Houston before they retired to 
Longview and Joe was formerly an accountant; and
	WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their 
love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and 
sorrows of everyday living; and
	WHEREAS, They have been blessed with a wonderful family; 
their three children, Joanne Stokeld and her husband, Charlie, 
Tracy Eng and her husband, Mike, and Craig Taylor, and their 
three grandchildren have been a source of much pride and joy; and
	WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Joe and Margaret 
Taylor is truly an inspiration to all who know them; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, hereby join the family and friends of 
Mr. and Mrs. Joe B. Taylor in extending to them best wishes and 
congratulations on their golden wedding anniversary; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in 
their lives.
