SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 371

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to join the family and friends of Eric Matthew Helfman in 
congratulating him on the grand occasion of his Bar Mitzvah; and

	WHEREAS, Eric, the son of Renee and Alan Helfman, 
celebrated his Bar Mitzvah at Congregation Emanu-El in Houston
on February 21 and 22, 2003; and

	WHEREAS, A Bar Mitzvah is both a solemn and joyful occasion 
for a young man as he moves forward in life with added duties, 
responsibilities, and privileges; and

	WHEREAS, Eric is an exemplary young man who strives for 
excellence in his endeavors, and he stands on the threshold of
a bright and independent future; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Eric Matthew Helfman
for a full and productive future as he celebrates this milestone 
in his life; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as a token of esteem from the Texas Senate.
