SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 394
WHEREAS, David Clifton Light of College Station has completed the requirements necessary to gain Eagle Scout status, and he is indeed worthy of special recognition for his hard work and dedication to this noteworthy pursuit; and WHEREAS, A valued member of Boy Scout Troop 802, sponsored by A&M United Methodist Church and led by Scoutmaster John Bennett, Mr. Light is being duly recognized during an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on March 23, 2003, for his notable accomplishments; and WHEREAS, This exceptional young man has earned 21 merit badges for basic scouting activities and has served his fellow troop members and the community with dedication and integrity throughout his exemplary tenure in scouting; for his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Light created two promotional videos, using digital imaging technology, to recruit and educate volunteers for the Hospice of the Brazos Valley; and WHEREAS, David Light is a source of great pride to his family and friends, and it is truly a pleasure to pay tribute to this commendable young Texan at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, hereby congratulate David Clifton Light on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him warmest wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for Mr. Light as an expression of high regard by the Texas Senate.
