SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 422
In Memory
of
Francisca Gomez
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Francisca Gomez, who died on July 16, 2002, at the age of 95; and WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, Francisca was respected in the community for her many accomplishments; she was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Gomez, her son, Tomas Gomez, and her daughter, Elodia Jasso; and WHEREAS, A woman of integrity, strength, and generosity, Francisca gave unselfishly of her time to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and WHEREAS, Francisca was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Francisca Gomez: her son, Jesse Gomez, and his wife, Andrea; her son, Tony Gomez, and his wife, Nora; her son, Ernesto Gomez, and his wife, Judi; her sons, Carlos Gomez and Richard Gomez; her daughter, Lydia Jacobs, and her husband, Mike; her daughter, Angie Orozco, and her husband, Richard; her daughters, Alice Flores and Helen Gloria Gomez; and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Francisca Gomez.
