SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 444

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay 
tribute to Maximiliano Villagomez on the grand occasion of his 
92nd birthday; and

	WHEREAS, Maximiliano was born on March 30, 1911, and came 
to the United States in the early 1950s from La Hacienda de 
San Pedro de Ciudad Teran in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon to 
find better opportunities to provide for his family; and

	WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman now lives in the 
Magnolia neighborhood in Houston; he was married for 46 years 
and has been widowed for 21 years; he has 13 children, over 
30 grandchildren, and over 30 great-grandchildren; and

	WHEREAS, A respected member of his community, 
Maximiliano Villagomez is noted for his courage, his compassion 
for others, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the 
fullest; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, hereby recognize Maximiliano Villagomez as a 
treasured citizen of Houston and the State of Texas and extend 
best wishes to him on the joyous occasion of his 92nd birthday; 
and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as a memento of this special day.
