SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 484
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay
tribute to the Dallas Home for Jewish Aged on the Golden Acres
Campus on the special occasion of its 50th anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1953, the Home serves the
North Texas elderly of all faiths, races, and national origins,
and it is well known for its high standards of care; and
WHEREAS, Golden Acres is a 31-acre site in the rolling
hills east of White Rock Lake in Dallas and every resident's room
in the Home overlooks a garden; the Home provides a nurturing and
secure environment where residents receive the medical care and
rehabilitative services they need, as well as emotional support,
love, and companionship; and
WHEREAS, Its residents are treated according to their
unique and individual needs and are provided with an experienced
and dedicated team of physicians, nurses and nursing assistants,
physical, occupational, and respiratory therapists, and other
health care experts; and
WHEREAS, The quality of life for the residents of this
peaceful community is enriched by its natural surroundings,
beautiful gardens, and a wide variety of social and artistic
activities and services; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the residents and
caregivers of the Dallas Home for Jewish Aged on the Golden Acres
Campus and extend to them best wishes for a joyous 50th anniversary
celebration; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
them as a memento of this special occasion.
