SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 561
In Memory
of
Patricia Sue Smallwood Brewer
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
of Austin in mourning the loss of Patricia Sue Smallwood Brewer,
who died March 25, 2003, at the age of 66; and
WHEREAS, Patricia was born on May 23, 1936, to Lannie and
Dolly Smallwood in Hugo, Oklahoma; she was retired from her
position as human resources manager for SAS Institute,
Incorporated, in Austin, where she worked for 20 years; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary citizen, Patricia was respected in
the community for her many accomplishments; a woman of integrity,
strength, and generosity, she gave unselfishly of her time to
others, and her wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel will not be
forgotten by those who knew her; and
WHEREAS, Patricia was a devoted mother and grandmother,
and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by
her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
bereaved family of Patricia Sue Brewer: her son and
daughter-in-law, Christopher and Lisa Brewer; her
granddaughters, Zoe and Mia; her brother and sister-in-law,
James and Ann Smallwood, and their children; and her extended
family, Lawrence and Ann Daniel and their two children; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
for her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day,
it do so in memory of Patricia Sue Brewer.
