SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 594
WHEREAS, March 31, 2003, marked the conclusion of a
distinguished tenure in law enforcement for John Lindon, and
his retirement as chief of police of the City of Conroe truly
merits special legislative recognition; and
WHEREAS, Chief Lindon began his career as a patrol officer
with the Conroe Police Department in 1972; over the ensuing
years, he ascended the ranks of the department, serving as
sergeant, lieutenant, and deputy chief before assuming the
duties of chief of police; and
WHEREAS, During his three decades on the force, Chief Lindon
won the respect and admiration of law enforcement professionals
and Conroe citizens alike; he acted with integrity and wisdom,
and it is a pleasure to pay tribute to him at this time; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby congratulate John Lindon on his
retirement from the Conroe Police Department and extend to
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution
be prepared for Mr. Lindon as an expression of high regard by
the Texas Senate.
