SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 598
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Dr. Dana Carson and joins the citizens of Alvin in welcoming him to their community; and WHEREAS, Dr. Carson is being honored during Shepherd's Week for his 17 years of ministry in Austin and his first year of ministry in Alvin; and WHEREAS, This special week of events is an opportunity for Alvin residents to show appreciation for Dr. Carson's arrival and to hear his inspirational message; a man of spiritual depth and devotion, his guidance over the years has brought enlightenment and hope to many Christians; and WHEREAS, The ministry that Dr. Carson is establishing in Alvin is Reflections of Christ's Kingdom; it will include life skills programs and a family life center that will benefit Alvin and the surrounding communities; and WHEREAS, Dr. Carson's outstanding community leadership and his ministry in Austin will be recognized during the formal banquet on April 11 that concludes the week's events; and WHEREAS, A man who has dedicated his life to his religious calling, Dr. Carson has made a difference in the lives of countless Texans; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Dana Carson for his fervent service to his church, his fellowman, and his community; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
