SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 652
In Memory
of
Domingo G. Juarez
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Austin in mourning the loss of Domingo G. Juarez, who died April 7, 2003, at the age of 77; and WHEREAS, Mingo Juarez enjoyed a happy marriage to the late Henrietta "Nena" Juarez for 53 years, and the couple raised three children; and WHEREAS, He was dedicated to his work as a tile setter in Austin for over 40 years; and WHEREAS, Mingo enjoyed spending his leisure time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman; he also traveled throughout Mexico and loved the Texas Hill Country, especially the San Saba area; and WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, Mingo gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and WHEREAS, Mingo lived his life to the fullest and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Domingo G. Juarez: his son, Herbert Juarez; his daughters and sons-in-law, Armandina "Dina" and Manuel Rosales and Estela and John Zavala; his grandson, Danny Cantu; his sisters, Bertha Mitchell, Elena Sanchez, Virginia Carmona, Leonor Soto, Mary Samaniego, and Esther Ramirez; and his brothers, Benny Juarez and Albert Juarez; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Domingo Juarez.
