SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 653

	WHEREAS, The birth of a baby is one of the most treasured 
events in the life of a couple; and

	WHEREAS, Wednesday, March 12, 2003, will be a day long 
remembered and cherished by Cassandra "Cassie" and Bryan Lovelady, 
for on that day their son Luke Allan Lovelady was born; and

	WHEREAS, This wonderful baby boy was born at 8:25 a.m.; he 
weighed eight pounds 12 ounces and measured 21 inches long, and 
he fills his parents' hearts with pride and joy; and

	WHEREAS, Luke has already brought a great deal of happiness
to his parents and his big brother, two-year-old Cade, and he 
was heartily welcomed by his grandparents, Elsie Austin 
and John Sherrill, Mac and Vivian Castillo, and John and 
Cordelia Lovelady; and

	WHEREAS, His great-grandparents, Evelyn Lovelady, 
Sophie Castillo, and Ramon and Pauline Galindo, are particularly
pleased with the new addition to the family; and

	WHEREAS, This fine young gentleman has won a place in 
many hearts, and it is appropriate that the Texas Senate welcome 
this new little Texan as a treasured young citizen of the 
Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Bryan and 
Cassandra Lovelady on the birth of their precious child and best 
wishes for the future to Luke Allan Lovelady; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
the family in honor of this occasion.
