SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 721
In Memory
of
Rolando E. Villanueva
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of Rolando E. Villanueva, who was born November 21, 1918, and died April 23, 2003, at the age of 84; and WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, Rolando gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and WHEREAS, Rolando was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Rolando E. Villanueva: his daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores Hamilton and her husband, Ron; Geri Balleza and her husband, Jesse; and Cindy Porras and her husband, Humberto; his sons and daughters-in-law, Roland Villanueva, Jr., and his wife, Linda; and Tom Villanueva and his wife, Kathy; his sister, Vee Gomez; his 10 grandchildren; and his numerous other relatives; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rolando E. Villanueva.
