SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 727
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the Boerne Volunteer Fire Department, which marked its 100th anniversary on January 5, 2003; and WHEREAS, To commemorate this historic milestone, the Boerne Volunteer Fire Department is holding a ceremony prior to its annual Fish Fry Fund-raiser on May 3, 2003; and WHEREAS, Currently, 50 individuals proudly and capably serve as members of the fire department, ensuring the public safety of their fellow citizens; and WHEREAS, The excellent service that volunteer fire departments render to their communities merits public tribute, for their members devote many hours of their personal time to acquiring the professional training needed to carry out their vital responsibilities; and WHEREAS, The Boerne Volunteer Fire Department is worthy of legislative recognition for its exemplary work on behalf of the people of the Boerne area; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, hereby commend the Boerne Volunteer Fire Department on the occasion of its 100th anniversary and extend best wishes for the future to all the fire department members; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the Boerne Volunteer Fire Department as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
