SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 733

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased 
to recognize Bethany Fargo, who was recently honored by the 
North Channel Area Chamber of Commerce for her selection as the 
Galena Park Independent School District Educator of the Month 
for March of 2003; and

	WHEREAS, Bethany Fargo is a prekindergarten teacher at Purple
Sage Elementary School in the Galena Park Independent School 
District; and

	WHEREAS, A highly regarded educator with a natural 
talent for teaching young children, Bethany has incorporated a 
multicultural approach to teaching in her classroom; and

	WHEREAS, She often utilizes movement, music, and imagination
to motivate her students and to capture their attention; and

	WHEREAS, As a tribute to her excellent work as a teacher, 
Bethany recently was selected for the coveted 2003 Crystal Award, 
an honor accorded to exemplary teachers by the Houston Chronicle; 
she was one of only six teachers to earn the prestigious award for 
which 1,600 teachers from the Gulf Coast area were nominated; and

	WHEREAS, Bethany Fargo is dedicated to bringing the joy 
of learning to young Texans, and she instills in her students a 
sense of pride and accomplishment; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, hereby commend Bethany Fargo for her exceptional
talent and dedication to the field of education and extend best 
wishes to her for the future; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
