SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 767
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to pay tribute to Ross Snodgrass on the grand occasion of his
100th birthday; and
WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman is a native Texan
who ranched the land and rode the range all of his life until he
retired; and
WHEREAS, He was born on a ranch on the Divide, west of
Mountain Home, Texas, on May 12, 1903, and today he continues to
enjoy great health and a wealth of friends; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Snodgrass has been a Mason for 76 years; he
stays abreast of current news and events and inspires others by
sharing his life experiences; and
WHEREAS, He is a beloved and respected husband, father,
grandfather, and great-grandfather and is a source of strength
to his family; still physically active, he goes dancing several
times a month and maintains his yard; and
WHEREAS, A man of high principles and a responsible
citizen, Ross Snodgrass is an esteemed member of his community
and is noted for his courage, his compassion for others, and his
enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby recognize Ross Snodgrass as a treasured
citizen of the State of Texas and extend best wishes to him on his
100th birthday; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
Ross Snodgrass as a memento of this special day.
