SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 781
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize William K. Daniel, who is being inducted into the Texas 
Restaurant Association Hall of Honor on June 23, 2003; and
	WHEREAS, Induction into the Texas Restaurant Association 
Hall of Honor is one of the greatest accolades that can be bestowed
upon any restaurateur in Texas; individuals selected for this 
prestigious recognition must exemplify superior business ethics 
and must be successful food service operators in the eyes of their 
fellow restaurateurs, their employees, and the community; in 
addition, inductees must have made other substantial professional 
contributions to the restaurant and food service industry; and
	WHEREAS, Bill Daniel has more than met these requirements 
during an exemplary career of 20 years in the restaurant and food 
service industry; and
	WHEREAS, A leader in his field, Mr. Daniel has been a member 
of the Texas Restaurant Association for 18 years; currently a 
member of the board of the association, he has served as president 
of the North Texas chapter of the association and as president of 
the association at the state level; and
	WHEREAS, For his outstanding work in the food service 
industry, he has been recognized by the Texas Restaurant 
Association with the President's Select Chapter Award and the 
Outstanding Restaurateur Award; and
	WHEREAS, Bill Daniel has contributed his gifts and talents 
as a restaurateur to the community by participating in the annual 


"Taste of the Town" fund-raising benefit for the American Red 
Cross; and  
	WHEREAS, An exemplary citizen, he has served as a member of 
the Wichita Falls City Council, and he currently serves on the 
board of the First National Bank of Wichita Falls and on the board 
of the Red River Authority of Texas; and
	WHEREAS, Bill Daniel is a highly professional restaurateur 
and an acknowledged leader in his field; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, hereby commend William K. Daniel on his many 
achievements and extend congratulations to him on his induction 
into the Texas Restaurant Association Hall of Honor; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
