SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 815

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Thomas Austin Hornberger on the grand occasion of his 
90th birthday; and

	WHEREAS, Buddy Hornberger was born in Austin on April 11, 1913;
he married Lillian Marguerite on April 3, 1934, in Lockhart, and 
the couple was blessed with two children; and

	WHEREAS, He worked for more than 40 years for the Steck 
Company and for Hart Graphics; and

	WHEREAS, Buddy is a devoted Texas Longhorn baseball fan, 
and he has cheered them on from the stands since 1966; and

	WHEREAS, He takes great pride in his children, 
Carl Hornberger and Betty Hornberger Ivy; his grandchildren, 
Frank Ivy, Jr., Carla Hornberger James, and Michael and Steven Ivy;
and his great-grandchildren, Tyler and Hayley Ivy; and

	WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of his community, 
Buddy is noted for his courage, his compassion for others, and 
his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; now, 
therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, hereby congratulate Thomas Austin Hornberger 
on his 90th birthday and recognize him as a treasured citizen of 
Austin and the State of Texas; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as a memento of this special day.
