SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 869

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased 
to recognize Mrs. Lernora Riggins on the occasion of her 
retirement after 35 years of outstanding service as a dietitian 
at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Houston; and

	WHEREAS, Lernora has been blessed with good health, faith, 
strength, love, and joy, which has enabled her to enjoy a deeply 
rewarding career; and

	WHEREAS, Over the years, she has used her expertise in 
nutrition to ensure the good health of countless patients served 
by Saint Joseph's Hospital; and

	WHEREAS, Lernora has long held the respect and admiration 
of her colleagues for her exceptional and diligent work as a 
dietitian, and her presence at the hospital will be greatly 
missed; and

	WHEREAS, On June 14, 2003, the family of Lernora Riggins 
will gather to celebrate her many achievements and to praise her 
and show her their love; they will thank her for her untiring work 
over the years; and

	WHEREAS, Lernora enters retirement grateful for the 
knowledge that she has had a successful career and has completed 
her work in an exemplary manner; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, hereby commend Lernora Riggins for her 
dedication to her work as a dietitian at Saint Joseph's Hospital 
and extend congratulations to her as she enters a much deserved 
retirement; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
